About the Author
Sarindee Wickramasuriya is a Sri Lankan-American author currently living in Chicago, Illinois. Born in Sri Lanka, Sarindee immigrated to the United States at age 9. She constantly strives to bring attention to her beautiful motherland through her writing and work. Merging her passion for education, children, and writing, Sarindee hopes this book helps those who call Sri Lanka “home” as well as those who want to learn, journey through the diverse culture and cities that make up the vibrant paradise of Sri Lanka.
About the Illustrator
Ruwangi Amarasinghe is a freelance Illustrator, Artist and Muralist living and working in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She is known for using vibrant colors and unique style in her work which can be seen in a wide array of posters, children's books, murals, animations, character designs, art installations and illustrated maps of her hometown.
